I graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Environmental Biology. After a brief foray in the city I followed my passion for sailing and “ran away to sea”. I spent 13 years as a professional sailor and latterly ran the superyacht, SY Catalyst for 5 years. The arrival of my twin daughters precipitated a move ashore and I worked at Oyster Marine, the prestigious UK yacht builder for 2 years.
A chance meeting with Neil Sherman led to the formation of Sensory Marine Ltd. Shortly afterwards Neil and I took over the management of Sensory International. 10 years later we are older, perhaps a little wiser, and looking forward to the continued growth of Sensory International and its sister companies. In my opinion people are the biggest asset of any company and the experience of leading a tight-knit team of yacht crew through many different challenges, from heavy weather and providing 6 star service to high intensity refits has stood me in good stead for managing our business.
